Joint
Admissions Programs
are designed to build a better bridge from an associate's to a bachelor's
degree. MCC negotiates agreements with public and private institutions
that assure their academic advisors will offer special guidance for the
75 percent of MCC students who go on to enroll in a bachelor's program.
One example is the Joint Admissions Program with University South Florida
Sarasota/Manatee, a regional branch of the huge research university, where
65 percent of MCC's graduates go to turn their A.A. into a B.A.

After
just two years at MCC, you can be halfway to completing your bachelor's
degree at a four-year college or university. Earn a degree in MCC's university-transfer
associate in arts program, and you're guaranteed admission as an entering
junior at one of Florida's 11 state universities. Course numbers at MCC
are identical to those at state universities. Many more institutions,
including some private universities, participate in a common numbering
system. This makes it easy to transfer credits earned in an A.A. degree.
